È “dove finiscono le tracce, dove più nulla si legge” che si apre lo spazio di conoscenza dell’arte e della parola poetica.
Dove finiscono le tracce è il titolo di una raccolta di Piero Bigongiari, una delle maggiori voci della poesia italiana del Novecento, ma è anche il nome del nuovo progetto espositivo nato e sostenuto dal desiderio della Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT di valorizzare la propria collezione e affidato alla curatela di Luigi Fassi, direttore di Artissima Fair.
Dove finiscono le tracce riprende il concetto di “patrimonio diffuso”, principio chiave dell’identità della nostra Fondazione, e lo traduce in una mostra dislocata nei luoghi simbolo di Torino e capace di dialogare con la vita della città, di chi la abita e di chi la visita.
Cinque opere contemporanee, installate in altrettanti spazi aulici del centro di Torino: ciascuna di queste ha un rapporto indiziario con il suo tema di riferimento e mostra come i rivolgimenti geopolitici, le transizioni della storia globale e la ricerca del sé siano osservati dagli artisti mediante prospettive elusive, spingendosi sin oltre tracce ed evidenze manifeste per svelare realtà nuove e immaginari inediti.
Nelle parole di Luigi Fassi, l’esposizione sarà “un racconto del rapporto tra grande storia e microstoria attraverso alcune opere iconiche degli artisti prescelti, in cui l’evoluzione degli eventi che segnano il decorso dei processi storici è accompagnato da riflessioni che declinano i sommovimenti epocali in chiave intima, dando spazio alla soggettività degli artisti così come alla storia culturale del territorio”.

Where the traces fade away is the title of a collection by Piero Bigongiari, one of the greatest voices of Italian poetry of the twentieth century, but it is also the name of the new exhibition project born and supported by the desire of the Foundation for Modern and Contemporary Art CRT to enhance its collection and entrusted to the curatorship of Luigi Fassi, director of Artissima Fair.
Where the traces fade away takes up the concept of “widespread heritage”, a key principle of the identity of our Foundation, and translates it into an exhibition located in the symbolic places of Turin and capable of communicating with the life of the city, of those who live there and of those who visit it.
Five contemporary works, installed in as many courtly spaces in the center of Turin: each of these has a circumstantial relationship with its reference theme and shows how geopolitical upheavals, the transitions of global history and the search for the self are observed by the artists through elusive perspectives, going beyond obvious traces and evidence to reveal new realities and new imaginaries.
In the words of Luigi Fassi, the exhibition will be “a story of the relationship between great history and microhistory through some iconic works of the chosen artists, in which the evolution of the events that mark the course of historical processes is accompanied by reflections that outline the epochal upheavals in an intimate way, giving space to the subjectivity of the artists as well as the cultural history of the territory”.
