Informe II

Galleria Moitre

Eccedere i contorni, i limiti.

Galleria Moitre

Moitre gallery dedicates its new exhibition season to the theme of the formless, in the search for its unlimited forms and practical and meaningful applications. A path that starts from known elements, subject to degradation, mutation, interpretation, challenging words and common expressions to define and indicate them.

In fact, the formless is by its own creation a constant mutation without apparent worries but continuous, inevitable even. In our contemporary world “the form of the formless” is assumed daily and for many it is the very state of the current human condition. Imprecise social definition, imperfect word, indefinite form, impossible to rename, outside the canons generated so far. Exceeding boundaries and limits. This is what Alberto Castoldi makes clear in his “Epiphany of the shapeless”, the starting text of our considerations and with it artists, philosophers, writers, thinkers, intellectuals, designers, architects, inventors, have had to come to terms with the shapeless and being overwhelmed by it, without the possibility of blocking it in its healthy modification.

Nothing more than the indefinite should be approached to art. The formless is also randomness, the development of an imprecise procedure yet which does not seem to come from nothing but to have been something even when it had no application.

Thanks to the works of: Valeria Dardano, Riccardo di Stefano, Andrea Famà, Serena Gamba, Flavia Spasari, Elena Tortia, Lorenzo Zerbini we will begin to investigate a phenomenon that is very present and yet difficult to accept or control.
