Mucho Mas! è lieto di presentare “Not a lot, just forever” la mostra personale di Anna Adamo (Cinisello Balsamo, 1991) già selezionata da CAMERA Centro Italiano per la Fotografia per Futures Photography nel 2024.
“Not a lot, just forever” è un ossimoro, una contraddizione dichiarata perché a volte “non molto” è tutto ciò che abbiamo, e il “per sempre” forse non è mai davvero accaduto. Tenere costantemente traccia di ciò che accade significa costruire una dimensione parallela alla vita, una narrazione più nitida, banalmente, più sopportabile.
Come definiamo la linea tra reale e finzione? Non lo so, mi piace pensare di essere nel mezzo. È forse la trasformazione stessa del presente in ricordo che sfugge al tempo terrestre per essere considerato reale? La fuga dal tempo, in questo caso infinito.
Non è un diario, non sono appunti è la sublimazione della nostalgia, di ciò che e accaduto e che ancora deve accadere.

“Not a lot, just forever” is an oxymoron, a self-evident contradiction, because sometimes “not much” is all we have, and “forever” perhaps never really happened. Constantly keeping track of what happens means constructing a parallel dimension to life, a clearer, more banal, more bearable narrative.
How do we define the line between reality and fiction? I don’t know, I like to think I’m somewhere in between. Is it perhaps the very transformation of the present into memory that escapes earthly time to be considered real? The escape from time, in this case, infinite time.
It’s not a diary, it’s not notes, it’s the sublimation of nostalgia, of what has happened and what is yet to happen.
